Hi my name is Dani Evans and I would like to welcome you to my website.
I am passionate about the sport of eventing, and have the determination and dedication to reach the top of my game. I left school at the age of 16 and went straight on to work for Tim and Toni Warren at Hunstrete, between Bristol and Bath, and became part of the well known Warren Eventing team. I spent three fantastic years there learning a great deal and gaining invaluable experience and knowledge by competing and producing talented young horses.
I have spent a large part of my career to date riding a lot of different young horses which was a great education for me; not just the riding but the ground work and trust we need to gain as a horse and rider partnership.
At the end of 2011 I decided it was time to move away from home, ’grow up’ and learn more, so I took myself to the Billy Stud. I only intended to stay there for a couple of months but ended up staying a year. I was under the eye of two of the world’s best in equestrian sport in William and Pippa Funnell. I gained so much and learnt an extraordinary amount from them both, from yard management to the highs and lows of competing at the top of your game.
I consider myself extremely lucky to have these superb foundations to build my riding career upon, and have now moved home to become ‘my own boss’. I am also lucky to have fantastic support from my family which allows me the opportunity to be able to do so. I am building up a very exciting string of horses ranging from 3 year olds to break and produce up to my long term rides which I am competing up to 3* level. I couldn’t do this without the wonderful owners who have been supporting me in my career so far, I know that I would not have got this far without them. These special people are more than just owners, they have all have become great friends.
I have now been eventing professionally for five years and in each consecutive year have been on the British team in European competition, bringing home three medals, gold, silver and bronze.
