UNWAVERING
I cannot remember having any other thought in my head about how I wanted to spend my life. I always wanted to ride, and I always wanted to win, even though I often didn’t!

BEHIND ME
Through every up and down of growing up with ponies, my mum Melissa has been there for me and forgiven my ugly moments! She has worked all hours of the day and night to pay for my passion.
My sister Frankie and brother Jack have never been jealous of the time and energy that has been spent on me and are always there for me. My gran Heather and grandpa Mike Sheppard are the best.
Gran has spent all her money on ponies for me over the years, and owns my medal winning horse Uchin. |

KNOWLEDGEABLE
I have to be the luckiest teenager because I am based with my uncle Tim Warren, an ex international show jumper who has also ridden at 4* level eventing. Not only does he have an amazing amount of knowledge to pass on to me, but he also has a continuous stream of young horses that he buys and sells.
He lets me ride these too, and although young horses are the hardest to ride, it is the best possible education for a young rider.
I have never had any ready made horses, and have had to learn how to produce them and teach them correctly. |

SUPPORTI live in a country community, and I have an amazing band of friends and local people who have followed and supported me over the last few years.
Some have organised fund raising parties and three ladies even created a syndicate to buy a young event horse for me to produce. You will meet them on my Horses & Owners page. |

LUCK
With horses, and especially in such a high risk sport as eventing, you need a huge amount of luck. So far I have had my share of ups and downs like anyone, but fortune has certainly favoured me so far. |
